Entitled 'A Long Farewell' this exhibition documents the Emigration of Donegal Women from 1845 to 1950. It is a joint Donegal County Museum/Archives exhibition. It runs from 27th September to 6th October. Please note that a later closing time of 6pm may apply on Saturdays and Sundays.
Donegal Connect Opening Event with special guest, Packie Bonner. This Opening Event provides networking opportunities and coincides with the National Football Exhibition at Regional Cultural Centre, Letterkenny. The Exhibition provides free access to anyone interested in learning about 60 years of the UEFA European Championships tournament.
Tip O’Neill Awards - The Tip O ‘Neill Irish Diaspora Award is presented on an annual basis to a chosen member of the broad Irish Diaspora in recognition of achievements in their chosen field and their interest in, and support for Ireland and its Diaspora. This award-winning play centres on a dysfunctional relationship between a blind father and his sighted daughter. My Dad’s Blind uses audio recordings, irreverent comedy and real life memories to explore a father daughter relationship. It covers all the awkward, embarrassing and ridiculous ways they struggle to navigate a sighted world with a guide dog that’s just had a stroke.
The Tip O’Neill Golf Classic an annual event which takes place as part of the celebrations surrounding the Tip O'Neill Award. It will take place at Ballyliffin Golf Club in North Inishowen. Ten teams of four will compete at this fabulous location, which hosted the Irish Open last year.
This is the first of four Tourism Tours of the County. Experience the wild and rugged coastline of the Wild Atlantic Way in South Donegal. The Billy Finn Sessions Memorial Concert, with special guests Patsy Hanley, Brian McNamara, Shauna Mullin, Caoimhín Mac Aoidh, Dáire Gallagher and many more. The late Billy Finn was an accomplished uilleann piper and flute player and a founder member of the local Phil Rooney Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann.

Beidh Máirín Jimí Ní Fhearraigh, Bainisteoir Comharchumann na nOileán Beag, ag treorú an siúlóide seo ar Shlí Bhealach na Gaeltachta Ghabhla. The walk will provided a bilingual (Gaeilge and English) account on life on the island and its history and will welcome questions from participants.
