Go Visit Donegal – The Gaeltacht Experience

This is the second of four tourism trips which are part of the Donegal Connect experience. The trip includes a visit to the Gaeltacht region, where the Irish language and culture is vibrant and thriving. Starting at Glenveagh National Park, visitors will enjoy a walk in the gardens and a tour of the castle.
For those who want to get active, bike hire is available at Glenveagh and visitors may enjoy a cycle around the beautiful grounds. Next the journey takes visitors into the heart of the Gaeltacht via Errigal Mountain, Donegal’s iconic highest peak. Stop off at the viewing point overlooking Dunlewey and the Poisoned Glen for a photo opportunity. Stop off at Leo’s Tavern, home of Clannad and Enya for a delicious lunch and a traditional Irish music session and to meet some of the family members.
